[ 14 ] Yashasvi Jaiswal got Man of The Match, for his match winning inning.

The series began in the Caribbean islands, stopped briefly in Guyana in South America, and is presently set in the United States. India has essentially always been taken off guard by both their own deficiencies in batting depth and the caliber of the West Indies. India will hope that their batting lineup can hold up well as it did in the third T20I rather than how it performed in the second and first in order to avoid suffering their first series loss since 2016 and their first series loss in a bilateral T20I series with more than one match played.

Over the course of this series, India’s opening partnership scores have been 5, 16, and 6. Ishan Kishan was replaced after the first two scores by the highly regarded Yashasvi Jaiswal, but the latter had a poor debut in the third T20I encounter.

Tilak has just played three T20I matches and made his T20I debut, but some believe he has demonstrated enough to be a contender for the hotly contested No. 4 berth. Tilak has played three games so far, scoring 139 runs with a strike rate of 139.00 and an average of 69.50.

India’s bowling coach Mhambrey on Mukesh:

India’s bowling coach was all praise for Mukesh Kumar, who has made his debut in all three formats in this tour. “Very happy with the way he has progressed; the thought process, the discussion we had with him, and his approach towards the game is fabulous. You need someone like him to come here on a tour and play against tough opponents on a different wicket which is never easy. But the way he has gone about it and the character he has shown (makes us) extremely happy. Going forward, since we know he is capable of playing all three formats, we need to be smart with his workload management. He has played a lot of domestic cricket and got quality skills out there,” Mhambrey said on Friday

The dilemma of Suryakumar Yadav :

Unquestionably, Suryakumar Yadav will be remembered as one of India’s all-time best T20 batters. He is also perhaps the first significant illustration of how distinct the ODI and T20 formats have developed. India will be hoping and wishing for SKY to improve his ODI statistics, especially after seeing what he did to the West Indies’ assault in the third T20I. SKY has acknowledged that his ODI statistics are not good at all.

The T20I series victories by West Indies over India:

Only twice have the West Indies triumphed over India in the nine T20I series that have been played. Those two wins both came in a series where there was only room for one match. The first was a two-match series in Lauderhill that the Windies won and one of which was postponed. The second was a one-off T20 game at Kingston, Jamaica, where West Indies triumphed by nine wickets despite having to chase down a 191-point goal. It was made possible by Evil Lewis’ undefeated 125 off 62 balls.

West Indies won the toss and choose to bat. Pandya said India would have batted first as well.

     India vs West Indies:

     Hardik Pandya’s thoughts:

“We would have batted first as well, I don’t think much will change. I think the boys turned up very well, they were excited, and at the same time, they realized that they have to show some more hunger as well. Everyone chipped in, the bowlers did the job and then Tilak and Surya came in and closed the game with the bat. Yeah, same team. Our spinners have that kind of wicket-taking knack, they are aggressive with their intent as well, which I like. For us, we keep things simple, and we don’t let the intensity drop.”

    India vs West Indies:

     Rovman Powell thoughts:

“We are gonna bat first, looks like a very good surface, we want to put up some runs on the board and try to defend it. I think it is an opportunity for us to win a series against a big team like India and the boys are excited about it. Jason Holder is in, Shai Hope comes in for Johnson Charles, Odean Smith comes in for Roston Chase.” Darren Sammy talks!

    India vs West Indies:

    Darren Sammy talks!

“When I took up this post I understood the assignment. It’s similar to when I was captain, where we were as a team. Now it’s about making sure I have the tools around me to shift that needle. Obviously missing out on the World Cup is a disappointment. With T20s, it’s much better because we have experienced and seasoned guys. The importance of winning, especially against India, coming in after the last couple of months we had, I think this is very important. This group, moving forward, building confidence, especially in this format, knowing that we are capable of beating better sides and understanding that is a massive, massive step for us.”

India vs West indies: Axar Patel bowled the first over, Kyle Mayers faced up with Brandon King at the other end.

India vs West Indies: Arshdeep Singh gave the first blow to West Indies in his first over and innings 2nd over in the form of Kyle Mayers 17 in 7 deliveries with 2 fours and a six, who  was looking dangerous. Mayers c Samson b Arshdeep Singh 17 (7), West Indies 19/1 in 1.4 overs.

Shai Hope, who was in at No.3 for West Indies today instead of Johnson Charles.

India vs West Indies: Arshdeep struck again for India in the 6th over of the inning in the form of Brandon King 18 in 16 deliveries with 2 sixes. Fantastic catch by Kuldeep on Arshdeep. King c Kuldeep b Arshdeep, West Indies 54/2 in 5.4 overs .

India vs West Indies: Nicholas Pooran came and gone: The dangerous inform Pooran came at number 4, but Kuldeep struck for India in the very next over Kuldeep got Pooran out. Kuldeep comes in after the end of the powerplay and has taken possibly the biggest wicket of the match with his very first ball. Pooran takes him on and tries to go down the ground but ends up putting it down Long-on’s throat.

Pooran c Suryakumar Yadav b Kuldeep Yadav 1 (3), West Indies 55/3 in 6.1 overs.

Kuldeep gave a double blow in the same over:

India vs West Indies: Kuldeep struck 2nd time on the 5th delivery of the same over [ 1st over for him and 7th overall ] got. Two of the most effective batters thus far in the series for the West Indies have both fallen in the same over. He had almost edged the previous delivery. This time the googly gets him. Powell tries to work it leg side but it spins away from him, leading edge and the ball flies to Gill at slip. Rovman Powell wicket.

Powell c Shubman Gill b Kuldeep Yadav 1 (3), West Indies 57/4 in 6.5 overs. West Indies lost 3 wickets at a cost of 4 runs.

West Indies 65/4 after 9 overs, With only 10 runs scored in the last three overs, the run rate has slowed to a crawl. Shimron Hetmyer, who is acting strangely, is on the other end of the line, where there is yet hope. Hope has 25 off of 17 doing well for his team.

West Indies 79/4 in 10. Hope was looking absolutely dangerous on 37 off 21, and Hetmyer was on five off 10  overs. West Indies were 101/4 in 11.4 overs. They were going at a very good click here. Hetmyer on 22 off 17, Hope on 42 off 21. This partnership was now worth 44 in 28 balls, easily West Indies’ highest of the match.

India vs West Indies: Now Chahal Struck for India in the 13th over of the inning and break the solid looking partnership, got the wicket of Shai Hope , who missed his half-century. Hope c Patel b Chahal 45 (29), West Indies 106/5 in 12.5 overs.

India vs West Indies: Axar Patel struck now, Shepherd goes big over Axar’s head off the first ball of the 15th. Then he falls off the very next ball. Shepherd c Samson b Patel 9 (6), West Indies 121/6 in 15 overs. Hetmyer on 28 off 24.

India vs West Indies: Now Mukesh struck for India and got the wicket of Holder.Holder b Mukesh Kumar 3 (4), West Indes 123/7 in 15.3 overs.

Shimron Hetmyer played wonderfully and sensibly to support his team and completed his 5th T20I half-century. A welcome return to form for Hetmyer here. He had played a patient knock here, playing the situation instead of swinging for the arms regardless of who was bowling. It had come in 35 balls.

India vs West Indies: Two performers Kuldeep and Hetmyer of 1st inning.

India vs West Indies:  Arshdeep struck 3rd time, in the last over of the inning and got Hetmyer out. Hetmyer struggles to make the connection, and Tilak makes a spectacular catch sprinting in from long range. The umpires decide to send it upstairs after he leaps forward and makes the catch. Hetmyer is forced to leave as the third umpire rules that Varma had his fingers underneath the ball. He was duped by Arshdeep, who greatly slowed it down. Hetmyer c Tilak Varma b Arshdeep Singh 61 (39), West Indies 171/8 in 19.2 overs.

Odean Smith ends the innings with a six. India will have to break the record for the highest succesfull run chase on this ground if they are to level this series now. They conceded 57 runs in the last five overs.

West Indies 178/8 in 20 overs.

India vs West Indies: Shai Hope speaks after: “Thought we started well. We didn’t do ourselves justice in the middle but good job from Hettie. We could be 10-15 short but confident of defending this. The mindset was positive, Hettie came along and made things easier for me. Was waiting for my opportunity, always want to play all formats. We always think we have enough, time will tell.”

India vs West Indies:  India had to chase a target of 179. Shubman Gill and Yashasvi jaiswal started for India whereas Obed McCoy started the  proceedings for West Indies.

Jaiswal starts off with a boundary and showed no mercy to any bowler. India were 28/0 in 3 overs.

Gill joins the party: After watching Jaiswal go bang-bang against the Pacers, Gill decided to join the party. BACK TO BACK FOURS! 50 up for India.

Gill was on 30 off 17, Jaiswal on 33 off 19  India 66/0 in 6 overs.

10 overs done, India 100/0. Both the young openers stitched a very solid partnership for India. Jaiswal on 47 off 31, Gill on 49 off 29. This was India’s first 100-run stand in the format since September 2022.

2nd 50 for Gill conceded 30 balls.  Just after Jaiswal also completed his maiden half-century conceded 33 balls.

India were 123/0, needed 56 to win from 48. Jaiswal has moved to 61 off 38, Gill was on 55 off 35.

India vs West Indies: Now both were dealing in fours and sixes. India need 28 to win from 36. What an innings these two young openers have played thus far. India 157/0 in 15 overs. Jaiswal on 79 off 47, Gill on 59 off 44.

The partnership ends on 165, with the wicket of Gill and this is the joint-highest opening stand of all time for India in T20Is.

India beat West Indies by 9 wickets.

For India, the task was completed with a wide delivery and a bye. They have just tied the series 2-2 with a dominant, dominant victory. Jaiswal ends unbeaten with 84 off 51, while Varma’s score is 7 of 5. In both game modes, Jaiswal is starting his career by generating some extremely audible noises. He could have scored a century in the ODI series as well, but he was not chosen for that competition.

Despite having a very average tour overall, Shubman Gill had a half-century in the previous ODI, but this was by far his greatest performance during this dry spell. He reminds us of his capabilities. This innings will mostly dispel any concerns about his eligibility for inclusion in that squad, given that he has performed at his best in India, where this year’s World Cup will also be played.

As India attempts to reach a target of 179, Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal have completely destroyed the West Indies bowlers by putting up a century-stand. Half-centuries have been scored by both players. Before Gill’s loss on 77 off 47 balls, they actually tied the record for the longest-ever T20I opening partnership for India.

In the end, the first partnership scored 165 runs. India eventually won the match by nine wickets, and Jaiswal persisted and scored 84 runs off 51 deliveries without being dismissed. Shimron Hetmyer’s fifty earlier assisted the West Indies in setting up a score of 178/8. Hetmyer, who rediscovered his form by scoring a 39-ball 61, was a major factor in the 57 runs that the West Indies scored in the final five overs.

India vs West Indies:  Yashasvi speaks on his knock in 4th T20I:
“It’s not easy, I am happy to go out there and express myself. I would like to thank the support staff and Hardik bhai, they’ve shown faith. That shows so much impact on my mind. I try to play how team needs and how I can express myself towards the plan. I try to score quickly, how many shots I can play in the powerplay and put my team in a nice shape,” says Yashasvi.

India vs West Indies: Powell On Where Windies Lost Match:
Rovman Powell, West Indies captain, admitted that they were not at their best in the 4th T20 vs India and added that they were 10 to 15 runs short in the first innings after winning toss and opting to bat first.

With the series level 2-2, the fifth and final [last] T20I will decide the winner  in Florida. The teams play the match without any day break. It will test their skills as well as their fitness.

India vs West Indies:  Kuldeep Maintains Consistency:
Kuldeep was the pick of the bowlers in the 4th T20I, finishing with a spell of 2 for 26 in 4 overs. He was economical and took wickets too. Throughout the series, the left-arm leg-spinner has maintained a good consistency.

India vs West Indies:   Jaiswal, Gill set new records:
India’s opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill broke several records after they put on 165 for the first wicket in the match-winning performance in the 4th T20I vs WI. They also went past Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan’s two-year-old record.

India vs West Indies:  Hardik praises Yashasvi and Shubman:
“Shubman and Yashasvi were brilliant. The way they ran in this heat … and … making sure they finished the job, it was very pleasing to see,” said Hardik after the match.

India vs West Indies: Yashasvi Jaiswal After Winning Man Of The Match Award:
It’s not easy, I am happy to go out there and perform. I try to play how the team needs. I try to score quickly and how many shots I can play in the powerplay. Reading the wicket, reading the situation, everything is important. I have played a lot of ball against them (Holder and McCoy), helped me to pick them. It (partnership with Gill) was really amazing, he batted really well. I want to thank everyone for coming here and supporting us. Thank you so much.

India vs West Indies: West Indies Captain Rovman Powell:
“It’s a pretty good batting surface. We were maybe 10-15 runs short. Having said that, Hetmyer and Hope played well. We didn’t stick to our plans, you’ll always find ourselves under pressure against quality batters. We didn’t bat well in the middle overs. If we can improve against spin, we can do well. It’s 2-2, tomorrow is the final and in the final, I am back in the West Indies. I am okay and ready to lead the side tomorrow.”

India vs West Indies:  India Captain Hardik Pandya After Leveling Series:
“There are more Indians here. The way they have been supporting us, they make sure that we give them some entertainment. There is no doubt in their skill set. Going forward, we’ll have to take responsibility as batters and help our bowlers. Shubman and Yashasvi were brilliant. The way they ran in the heat … and … they finished the job. I like to captain how I see the game. I like to go with my instincts. It was our own error in the first game. We didn’t do much different in the next two games. All these games give us a lot of confidence. We had to pull up our socks and play good cricket, that’s exactly what the boys did. In T20 cricket, no one’s favorite. You got to respect the opposition. Tomorrow we turn up and do exactly what we did today.”
